My name is Cam Light and I am a birth doula, childbirth educator, and certified lactation counselor serving families in SWFL. I hold a bachelor's degree in alternative medicine and pride myself on my ability to counsel every individual holistically rather than a "one-size-fits-all" mindset. ​

I found birthwork nearly 7 years ago during a psychedelic induced vision. After training as a doula, I started attending births before realizing my calling was for far more than labor support and enrolled myself in midwifery school. While I couldn't complete it at the time, I'll be returning in 2023 to finish my program and serve our community in even more ways.

During my time away from school, I married my passions of birth and art into a business that makes supportive products for pregnant, birthing, and postpartum people from all walks of life. You can find my work HERE. In late 2020, I got pregnant and found that the care provided in our area was greatly lacking. After I had my son at home with the help of some sweet, out-of-town midwife friends, and breastfed my son (over 15 months, now!) I swore to myself that I would learn all I could to help support the people of our community. Since then, I have trained as a childbirth educator with Whole Body Pregnancy, an inclusive and amazing program based out of WA. I also became a certified lactation counselor through The Center for Breastfeeding. More offerings to come soon.
